The Collaborative Dental Care Staff
The staff of Collaborative Dental Care is a team of experienced professionals consisting of licensed dentists, hygienists, alternative practice hygienists and dental assistants. Our staff cares about your long-term oral health and demonstrates that concern by participating in continuing education to stay up-to-date in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Miller began her academic studies at Georgetown University where she earned a Bachelor degree in French and a minor in Spanish. Awarded a Health Professions Scholarship by the United States Navy, she went on to attend Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in her hometown Nashville, TN.
Upon graduating from dental school, she was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the US Navy and completed a one year residency in advanced education in general dentistry at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC. Dr. Miller had a variety of experiences as a Navy dentist to include a deployment tour on the USS Kitty Hawk in Yokosuka, Japan where she provided dental treatment to active duty sailors and aircrew.
After 8 years of honorable service, Dr. Miller concluded her active military service at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA and transferred to the US Navy Reserves where she continues to proudly serve.
She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the California Dental Association and the San Diego Dental Society. Dr. Miller has taken extensive continuing education courses focusing on the dental management of older patients.
After years of military moves and living abroad, Dr. Miller and her family have settled in San Diego and are happy to call it home.
